Greater things of God!

Jan 31st - Feb.6th

 Love of God is great!

John 3:16.For God so loved the world and gave His only begotten son, so that who so ever belives in Him shall not perish but have eternal life.

There is a Love between Parents and Children

There is a Love between Husband and wife.

There is a love between Friends.

But these are all based on conditions!

It will diminish, disappear and vanish at any moment.

But the Love of God and His son Jesus Christ is unconditional (Agape) and everlasting. So let us love Him with all of our heart, mind and strength.

Prayer: Father God, thank you for unconditional love you have shown by sending your only begotten son Jesus Christ who shed His blood for us while we were yet sinners. Amen.

Feb.7th – 13th

His name is great.

Phil.2: 9. -- God raised him up to the heights of heaven and gave Him a name that is above every other name. (NKJV)

There are many glittering, famous, popular names in the fields of politics, science, business, art, religions, media and technology.

But the Name of Jesus is greater than any other names on this earth and in Heaven. In His Name there is ‘Deliverance’.

In His Name there is ‘Power’

In His name there is ‘Peace’.

In His name there is ‘Healing’.

In His name there is ‘Presence’ (Immanuel)

In his name alone man kind can be saved.

Let us trust, and claim everything in this name.

Prayer: Father, deliver us from all the evil, bondages, struggles and dangers through your son Jesus name. Amen.

Feb. 14th – 20th

The Power of God is great!

1 John 4: 4. He who lives in you is greater than He who is in the world.

Nations and the People boast about their money power, political power,

economical power, technological power and military power etc.

It is true that the devil also has some power to attack people and destroy them mentally, physically, financially and even spiritually.

But the Lord Jesus and his Almighty Power is greater than the devil and others in this world. So if He is in us, with us and for us who can be against us?

Prayer: Lord, we believe that you would help us to stand firm and overcome the devil and his devices by your almighty power! Thank you Lord for the promise of ultimate victory for us! Amen!

Feb. 21st – 27th

His Salvation is great!

Heb 2:3. How shall we escape if we neglect and refuse to pay attention to such a great salvation?

Salvation is a gift of God. It is the greatest valuable prize that has been given by God through Jesus Christ. Positions and possessions might be estimated as the greatest things in this world. But the “salvation” is the greatest gift ever given by God freely to the fallen mankind. So let us receive this “Great Salvation” by believing and accepting him as our Lord and Savior.

Prayer:  Lord Jesus!  I surrender, submit and accept you as my Lord and Savior. Thank you Lord for your Great Salvation!

Noble thoughts

"Whatever things are true, noble, just, pure, lovely, of good report, of virtue, praise worthy, meditate on these things." Phil 4:8

Paul urges us to meditate on the above 8 things. These originate in our mind, manifest in action and shown to others. As a result, we get "The God of peace" (v9). Eventually we glorify God by manifesting good character and conduct.

Prayer - Lord, strengthen us to meditate and keep the above things in our mind, always.

GODLY WAYS

1 Samuel 8:3 "But his (Samuel) sons did not walk in his (Samuel) ways."

RESPECT ELDERS

March 30—April 5

You shall rise before the gray headed and honor the presence of an old

man, and fear your God: I am the Lord. Leviticus 19:32

God delights in us when we respect elders and honor them.

Elders are the root cause for our life's blessings. When we

do so, eventually the glory and honor go to our Lord who is the

only one who deserves it.

Prayer: Lord, enable me to respect, esteem and favor elders.

GOD'S WORK

April 6—12

Then Moses said, "I will now turn aside and see this great sight, why

the bush does not burn." Exodus 3:3

Like Moses, let us stop for a while and ponder why we aren't consumed

though we have so many oppressions and suppressions. Only at such a moment

we will realize God's work and power which comes our way when we

do not expect or ask.

Prayer: Thank you Lord for your great grace, wonderful work and

amazing power. Amen.

FIND AND BIND

April 13—19

So ----the tree was good for food, and that it was pleasant to the eyes—Genesis 3:6

Here the temptations came to Eve in a beautiful and beneficial form. We, as

God's children need discernment spirit to know this with the help of Holy Spirit.

Not only that, we need to immediately bind those temptations in the name of Jesus.

Prayer: Dear Father, help me not to fall for any kind of temptations. Amen.

SABBATH

April 20—26

"Therefore the son of Man is also Lord of the Sabbath." Mark 2:28

Sabbath means day of rest. Just stop your routine, tiresome and busy work

and come to the temple of God. There you will feel the presence of God and you

God along with fellow believers and have fellowship with one another. On the

GOD'S WORD

April 26—May2

For the word of God is living and powerful--- Hebrew 4:12

God's word has life and power. As we read, meditate and ponder the word

of God, we get spiritual life and spiritual power. That gives discernment spirit,

convicts, sanctifies, guides, protects, governs and bestows blessing upon us.

Prayer: In the name of Jesus, I would read and meditate the word of God

May

LEAN ON GOD

May 4---10

For they call themselves after the holy city, And lean on the God of Israel. Is.48:2

The Israelites backslide several times but they always came back to the Lord.

Out of their experiences, they learned that they can not achieve anything on their own

Eventually they leaned on God for everything. No matter how worse a sinner you are,

Come back to Lord and just lean on Him.

Prayer: - Oh Lord teach me to lean on you. Amen

HARVEST

May 11---17

The harvest truly is great, but the laborers are few. Luke 10:2

Thousands of people are dying as thousands of babies are born everyday. Studies say that very few are ready to see our Lord at death. Are we not responsible for that? If you and I go to vineyard as laborers, we can avoid the tragedy.

Prayer: - Lord, use me as your labor in your field. Amen.

IN THE NAME OF JESUS

May18---24

But I come to you in the name of the Lord of hosts. 1 Samuel.17:45

We all need strength, knowledge, wisdom, health and wealth to prosper in our life.

Are we truly able to do what we want to do? Not so, most of the time we face failures.

Henceforth, let us submit to God and start working in the name of the Lord of hosts

And enjoy the victorious life in Christ.

Prayer: - Oh God! I see victory in all areas of my life in the name of the Lord of hosts.

LONG SPIRITUAL LIFE

May 25---31

Hear, my son, and receive my sayings, And the years of your life will be many. Proverbs.4:10

Listen to God's statutes and commandments. Do not be a hearer but be a doer of His word.As much as we receive and use God's advises, our life is going to be long. We do not necessarily mean the worldly life but the spiritual life. During this long life span, we can bring glory to God.

Prayer: -- Father, let me receive your word in my heart and act accordingly. Amen.

JUNE 1ST TO 7TH

                                FORGET YOURSELF

Acts 20:12

After the uproar…. Paul encouraged them with many words, he came to Greece…

Paul went through rough and tough times in Macedonia. After going through such experiences, Paul left for Greece where he did not talk about himself.

At the same time he had concern for others and encouraged them with good words.

Prayer: - Lord, help me to have concern for others and not of me. Amen.

 JUNE 8TH TO 14TH

                                   CRY UNTO GOD

Matthews 20:31

Then the multitude warned them that they should be quiet; but they cried out all the more,

The blind men were stopped by the multitude. In spite of that, they cried out more saying “Lord, Son of David, have mercy on us.” In the same manner, in our lives, sometime we are stopped by various reasons. Let us start crying out to God more calling upon the name of our Lord till we get an answer from Him.

Prayer: - Let me not weary in calling you, Oh Lord. Amen.

JUNE 15TH TO 21ST

                                          IMMEDIATE ACTION

Mark 1:31

So He (Jesus) came….immediately the fever left her. And she served them.

The moment Jesus comes into our lives, immediate action will take place. For example, we will be delivered from sins, sickness, sorrows, debts and failures. After we receive those blessings from Jesus, what is our immediate response?

Prayer: - Lord, I want to share your love to others. Amen.

JUNE 22ND TO 28TH

                                              DO NOT TARRY

Hebrews 10:37

For yet a little while, And He who is coming will come and will not weary.

God’s promise is true. God never fails in His promises. His coming is going to be sooner without tarrying. Let us be prepared to meet Him soon. Let us believe whole heartedly that Jesus is coming soon.

Prayer: - Oh God!  I want to be ready to meet you. Amen.

 JUNE 29TH TO JULY 2ND

                                              ABOMINATION

 Proverbs 28:9

One who turns away his ear from hearing the law, even his prayer is an abomination.

It is good to know the sins that are an abomination to the Lord. That knowledge will help us to avoid those things that displease God. From the above verse, we understand that prayer without hearing the word of God is abominable. God is pleased when we listen to His word first, then He listens to our prayers.

Prayer: - Father, help me to listen to you first. Amen.

WEEK 1

Philemon 1:6 – “…be active in sharing your faith, so that you will have a full understanding of every good thing we have in Christ.”

Many times we are amazed by how indescribable and unfathomable God is. We long to see and understand His mind and heart. Although we may not find answers for everything till we come face to face with God one day in eternity, we still have the privilege of having a full understanding of every good thing in Jesus Christ while we are on earth. The key to unlock this understanding is simply to share your faith, for freely you have received so freely give. In Philemon, the word of God tells us to ‘be active in sharing.. .’ our faith which means that apathy is not part of a Christian’s life. We must respond to the need to save souls instantly. Actively witnessing the good news of Jesus Christ brings us closer to His heart and gives us the understanding of all good things in Him.

Prayer: Lord, let your Holy Spirit help me to make the choice to actively witness the gospel to the lost. As I share my faith in the world wherever I go, let me receive a full understanding of every good thing in you Jesus. Amen.

 WEEK 2

I Peter 3:15 – “always be prepared to give an answer to everyone who asks you to give a reason for the hope that you have. But do this with gentleness and respect.”

The hope that we have in Jesus Christ is one of salvation and eternal life. He died on the cross and rose up from the dead to give us hope. But are you prepared to give an answer for the hope that you have when you are questioned? This world we live in has many questions about the gospel of hope in Jesus. Those who have the right answers are not scholars and academicians but the Children of God who have tasted and seen that the Lord is good. However, the Lord tells us how the answer should be given. We must always be prepared to give the answer and we must do it in gentleness and respect.

Prayer: Father, I pray that you would prepare my heart to give an answer for the hope that I have in you and help me to do that in gentleness and respect.

 WEEK 3

Job 6:10 – “then I would still have the consolation – my joy in unrelenting pain – that I had not denied the words of the Holy one.”

Job was found by God as a man of godly sincerity and integrity. God favored Job and was pleased with him because even in the midst of intense pain. When everything he had was stripped from him, even to the point of death, Job found a reason to be joyful. Job stated that even in his ‘unrelenting pain’ his ‘joy’ was complete. He did not bring charges against God for the suffering he had to endure. What about us? Are we able to say that our joy and consolation is found in the Holy One who remains a faithful God in our lives even when our world may seem to tear apart? Or do we choose to question God and remain bitter about our sufferings? The story of Job should encourage and motivate us to always find our joy and consolation in Jesus Christ, the Holy One, who deserves all praise even in our darkest hour.

Prayer: Lord Jesus, I pray that your Holy Spirit will strengthen me during my darkest hour and through my sufferings. May my joy and consolation always be complete in you. Let me not deny your sovereignty or your words when I need to trust you the most. Amen.

 WEEK 4

I Chronicles 28:9 – “Serve Him with a perfect heart and a willing mind.”

The life that we are given is granted to us so that we may serve Jesus wherever we are and through whatever we do. We were sent to this earth with the mission to glorify Jesus by proclaiming the good news to all mankind and reaching out to the weak and the needy. But a service with ungodliness, pride, murmurings and complaints are not acceptable in God’s sight. In order to serve him, God desires that first and foremost, we His children must believe and love Jesus. This belief in Jesus and a true love for Him moves the heart to be perfect and pure for God’s glory and transforms the mind by the power of the Holy Spirit to willingly submit to His ways and plans.

Prayer: Jesus I love you with all my heart and I believe in you as the son of God. Let me only ever serve you with a pure and perfect heart and a willing mind. Amen.

Isaiah 56: 1 – This is what the Lord says: “Maintain justice and do what is right…”

Our God is a God of justice. The Bible says that He has established His throne on justice and righteousness. His heart beats for the cause of the oppressed because these people are created in His image. When we see injustice being done, we react by asking God “why do you allow this? Or why do you do this? God simply wants us to know that He has already done something to uproot in justice and establish justice in its stead. He created you and me to stand up for the truth and do what is right. Are we ready?

Prayer: Lord Jesus, you are enthroned in justice and righteousness. Enable me to have the same boldness to stand up for the cause of the oppressed, maintain justice and do what is right. In Jesus name I pray, Amen.

 August 8, 2008

Acts 4:32 – All the believers were one in heart and mind. No one claimed that any of his possessions was his own, but they shared everything they had.

The early church led by the disciples of Jesus characterized the heart of Jesus. In Jesus prayer in John 17 He specifically prays for unity among the believers and the first Christians brought that to fruition. Today, the body of Christ is divided over several issues and they are mostly trivial. However, the Bible urges that we who believe in Christ should be one in heart and mind. This means to be one with each other and also one with God. When we are united and one, it is then that we understand the heart and mind of Christ which is to share everything with those who do not have and not claim any possession as our own. Love is the key to this oneness. Let us strive towards the same in today’s church.

Prayer: Almighty God, I pray that you will unite your body, your children, as one in heart and mind to do your will. Let there be love among us and help us strive towards helping each other selflessly. In Jesus name I pray, Amen.

 August 15, 2008

Daniel 10: 12 - … “do not be afraid, Daniel. Since the first day that you set your mind to gain understanding and to humble yourself before your god, your words were heard and I have come in response to them.”

Daniel was chosen by God to reveal visions concerning the end times. Daniel saw the supernatural at work many times. This verse explains the reason God chose Daniel. Daniel held a high position in Persia but he always humbled himself before God almighty. That was not the end of it but Daniel also chose to set his mind to gain understanding of heavenly things because his focus was not on earthly concerns. God saw the humility and thirst in Daniel and thus responded to his prayer. Over and over again in this chapter and in the previous one, the word of God says that Daniel was highly esteemed by God. Humility moved God’s heart to answer Daniel’s words. What is our mind set on?

Prayer: Heavenly Father, help me by the power of your holy spirit to set my mind on heavenly things and gain understanding of the visions you implant in my life. As I humble myself before you lord, answer my prayers.

August 22, 2008

Hebrews 6: 15 – So after waiting patiently, Abraham received what was promised.

Abraham was 90 years old when God promised him a whole nation through his wife Sarah. He also promised that all nations will be blessed through him. Ten years went by with no fulfillment of that promise. Abraham had all the reasons to believe during this time that this God was not real since he could see his wife Sarah was not conceived as promised. But he didn’t do so. The scripture tells us that he waited patiently. And after he waited patiently, he received what was promised. In the same way, in our flesh we doubt the fulfillment of God’s promises in our own lives. But we have a lesson to learn from Abraham to wait patiently for God’s time. When his time comes, everything will be beautiful in his way.

Prayer: Lord Jesus, teach me and help me to wait patiently for your promises to be fulfilled in my life. Let me not lose heart but trust in you and remain faithful because in your time, all things are perfected beautifully. In Jesus name I pray, Amen.

August 29, 2008

Luke 23: 31 – For if men do these things when the tree is green, what will happen when it is dry?

In this verse, Jesus is speaking to the daughters of Jerusalem on his way to Calvary. He is referring to those men including the Pharisees who rejected him while he was on earth sending an innocent man to death. The green tree referred to here is Jesus. And Jesus’ question was if men did these horrible things when the son of God was on earth, how much more the pain, suffering, persecution, hardships, troubles and tears will abound when he is gone. Even today in many churches, homes and families situations seem hopeless because the tree of hope with the promise of salvation is not present. Invite Jesus to be part of your life today then you will witness the abundance of joy and peace even in the midst of pain. Plant the green tree in the center of your life then all things will be reflected green.

Prayer: Lord Jesus, I invite you to be the center of everything in my life. I ask you to be part of my home, my family, my church and my personal life so that I can bear the fruit of the Spirit in abundance and manifest your holy presence. In Jesus precious name I pray, Amen.

Persecution

Colossians 4: 3 – Pray for us, too, that God may open a door for our message, so that we may proclaim the mystery of Christ, for which I am in chains.

It is sometimes a difficult thing to think about those people and places where the gospel is preached amidst persecution and death. This is all the more difficult when we are safe and secure in our comfort zones, comfortable in our pews at our church. But Paul urged the believers to pray for those in chains for the sake of the gospel. Let us stop and think of our brothers and sisters around the world so that God will open a door for them to spread the message of salvation and the mystery of Christ.

Prayer: Lord Jesus, I pray for those around the world who are persecuted and are in chains for your name sake. Lord, open a door for them to continue drawing many into your kingdom by spreading the good news of your redeeming work on the cross. Amen.

Healing for the Soul

Hosea 6:1 – Come let us return to the Lord, he has torn us to pieces but he will heal us; he has injured us but he will bind up our wounds

God allows us to be broken and torn apart. He allows us to get injured and wounded. Most often, they are consequences of our own poor choices. But God is more than able to restore us to himself once again. He heals us and binds up our wounds so that our sins and weaknesses would be exposed in the light of his glory and we would be sanctified by the truth.

Prayer: Lord Jesus, I offer my broken and contrite heart to you. Heal me and restore me. Make me whole once again so that I may walk in your truth. In your name I pray. Amen

Blameless House

Psalm 101:2 – I will be careful to lead a blameless life…I will conduct the affairs of my house with a blameless heart.

It may seem that sometimes the responsibility of a house rests solely on the shoulders of the Head of the family. However, each individual in a household and in the family have a responsibility to conduct their affairs in a blameless manner. God desires that His children walk blamelessly before him so that as a household we may serve him and that our service will be holy unto him.

Prayer: Heavenly father, may my walk be blameless before you and I pray that your Holy Spirit would strengthen me to conduct the affairs of my house blamelessly. In Jesus name, Amen.

True Repentance

Jonah 1:12 – “pick me up and throw me into the sea,” he replied, “…I know that it is my fault that this great storm has come upon you.”

Jonah is remembered as the man and the prophet who ran away from God trying to hide from him. But hardly anyone focuses on what courage it must have taken for him to admit his fault and confess his sin openly before men. His true repentance came forth in the darkness of a fish’s belly but he also set an example to become vulnerable before men and be accountable in order to show that he too was weak and that he was willing to face the consequence of his wrong decision. As a result, a ship escaped a dangerous storm, a whole city turned to God and one prophet realized that God was powerful, loving and compassionate.

Prayer: Lord Jesus, I pray that you would enable me to be humble before men and be accountable to others by being open and vulnerable, never placing myself high above them. Let that be the beginning of a breakthrough in every area of my life. In Jesus name I pray. Amen.

September 29, 2008

Anger

Ephesians 4: 26 – In your anger do not sin… and do not give the devil a foothold

Many people today easily justify their rage and anger. While only maturity in Christ would help us to discern between righteous anger and carnal rage, the Bible is still clear about one thing. Anger gives the devil a foothold in your life. Turn to Jesus to help you manage your anger and be committed to avoid letting the sun go down in your anger.

Prayer: Lord Jesus I turn to you to help me through your Holy Spirit to practice self control. Help me to not give the devil a foothold through my anger. In your name I ask. Amen.

Giving in a way to affect the world

Proverbs 11:25 – He who waters others shall himself be watered.

Tithing may be alright to start with. But as we grow in other graces and virtues, we must abound in the grace of giving. We should give and give till it affects people around us and also affects us. Nothing of what we give to god is ours. They are what we have received from him. Let us water the kingdom of God with all that he has given us and water souls around us.

Prayer: Lord, let my life be given and every moment spent for the expansion of the kingdom of God and for multiplication of souls to the glory of God. Amen.

October 8, 2008

Works of the flesh

I John 2:16 – The lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life are not of the father.

If we indulge in the works of the flesh, we are sure to miss the leading of the Holy Spirit. Sensuality and Spirituality are opposed to each other and the battle goes on constantly in our hearts. Let us always beware of carnal desires, asking for more than we need where the world calls as opportunities may be traps.

Prayer: Lord Jesus, help me by your power and by the Holy Spirit to keep from lusting after the things of the world. Amen

October 15, 2008

The nourishing food for the soul

Isaiah 34:16 – Search from the book of the lord and read…

The Bible is God’s word. We must dwell on a passage from scripture long enough until the message comes out. We cannot be complete or thoroughly equipped unless we give our time to the reading and meditating of God’s word without neglecting it.

Prayer: Lord Jesus, lead me to yearn and long for your word and may your word move us to live for you according to your will. Amen.

October 22, 2008

Accepting adversity

Job 2: 10 – Shall we indeed accept good from God and shall we not accept adversity?

The theology of many an average Christian is childish. God is no more than a Santa Claus. But a sign of spiritual maturity and victory is when we accept even tribulation, distress, danger, pain, peril, suffering and much more with an unshakeable confidence that God gives us the patience to endure through them.

Prayer: Lord God of heaven and earth, open our eyes to see your sovereignty even when adversity strikes us and help us to be rooted in you during trouble. Amen.

October 29, 2008

Hope and pride in the gospel

Romans 1: 16 – I am not ashamed of the Gospel of Christ

The church is a people with hope in a hopeless world. But how do we express this hope to the world? We must be bold in proclaiming the gospel. There will be persecution when we speak the gospel but that should not give room for discouragement or for any feeling that would lead us to be ashamed of that hope. Instead let us be proud of it.

Prayer: Heavenly father, we give you praise with a grateful heart for the gift of your son on the cross. Even now because of his death and resurrection, we have hope for the future. Help us to be proud of the gospel and to speak it boldly everywhere we go. Amen.

November, 2008

I John 4:1- Do not believe every spirit but test the spirits whether they are of God!

We are at a time in history, when the prophecies mentioned in the last chapters of the Bible, are being fulfilled. One of them is the explosion of ‘different spirits’ in the form of false prophets and false teachers who outnumber the true ministers of God. This is the time when they will be in the most active phase. This will result in a slow and unintentional drifting away from our faith. So, more than ever, it is important to pray for the gift of discernment.

Prayer: Dear Lord, give me the precious gift of ‘discernment of spirits’, so that I will not be led astray from your Word, and that I may stand steadfast in faith. Amen.

James 1:12- Blessed is the man who endures temptation.

This is one of the simplest instructions, and yet one of the toughest to follow in the Bible. How can we resist temptation, when we are besieged by it? Well, we have to remember that we are not the first, nor will we be the last to face temptation – temptation is not a sin, but yielding to temptation is. There is no degree of temptation which we cannot endure and it is up to us to resist so that we may overcome the devil’s tactics to lead us away from God.

Prayer: Dear Lord, give me the strength to withstand the everyday temptations of the devil, so that your name be glorified and that works may shine through me. Amen.

I Peter 2:23- Christ left his case in the hands of God, who always judges fairly.

Sometimes, in our workplace at home, we can really get frustrated with misunderstanding or injustice, perceived or otherwise. How do we respond in such a situation? In this case, we have to follow the lead of Jesus, who surrendered everything in the hands of God, trusting implicitly in God’s judgment. Once we do that, we will see these situations take care of themselves.

Prayer: Dear Lord, I submit all my issues and problems into your hand, trusting you to judge fairly and give me peace that surpasses understanding. Amen.

Col 4:2- Devote yourselves to prayer with an alert mind and a thankful heart.

As Christians, it is very important to stay alert in our daily life. The devil never rests. He is always on the lookout, to bring down faithful Christians. The Bible is replete with instances where God fearing men and women fell into sinful ways, due to a lapse in their diligence in their daily walk with God. It should be a lesson for us all, that even as we maintain our focus on God, we should not let any place for slackness or obliviousness to take root in our spiritual life.

Prayer: Dear Lord, help me to stay on my feet at all times that I may not fall into the devil’s trap. Help me to stay diligent always, and that even if I stumble and fall, help me to get up and keep walking in your ways. Amen.

Week 1

Psalm 118: 8-9 - It is better to take refuge in the Lord than to trust in human beings. It is better to take refuge in the Lord than to trust in princes

Many times we have seen people use the privilege of knowing an influential person to get things done for them. But human power is limited. Human beings cannot be trusted nor can the governments of this world be trusted. They are all futile in the light of God’s power and strength. The Psalmist understood this when he said that it is better to take refuge in the Lord than in human beings. If today we need somebody influential to speak up for us, who better than Jesus Christ can we turn to? When we trust him, He will answer our prayers and it will be marvelous in our eyes.

Prayer: Dear Lord Jesus, help me to rely on you as I put my trust in your everlasting love, power and strength. I take refuge in you for there is no one else like you and no human power can compare to yours. In your name I pray, Amen.

Week 2

Jonah 4:11 - and should I not have compassion for the great city of Nineveh in which there are more than a hundred and twenty thousand people…

Jonah was selfish and jealous. But God teaches him what compassion is. People everywhere irrespective of their backgrounds are created in God’s image. They have life in them and that is to be valued. God wants us to love them and have compassion. Often we have to love them with the heart of Jesus when through our worldly eyes they are simply not worth it. Though it may be difficult, with the strength from God we can love them and that love will eventually transform their lives.

Prayer: Dear Lord Jesus, let my heart be like your heart as it is filled with love for all people around me who are created in your image. Help me to be compassionate just as you are compassionate towards your people. In Jesus name I ask, Amen.

Week 3

John 16:33 - …in this world you will have trouble but take heart I have overcome the world.

Jesus had a specific purpose in this world. Christmas is a time not only to remember that Jesus was born but also to remind ourselves of the purpose for which he was born. He was born so that He can overcome this world and all its troubles so that we can live a victorious life. But let us not stop with the birth of Jesus on Christmas. How about welcoming the birth of our soul when we truly realize the meaning of Christmas and follow Jesus’ example to live our lives with the God given purpose to fulfill? It is easy because He has already overcome the world and gone before us. All we have to do is follow his footsteps starting with his birth.

Prayer: Jesus Christ, you were born with a purpose to overcome this world. In the same way Lord, lead me to live my life with the purpose you have given me beginning with my birth. Let me be born again and walk in victory just as you did. In your name I pray, Amen.

Week 4

John 9:39 – Jesus said, “For judgment I have come into this world, so that the blind will see and those who see will become blind.”

Jesus came into this world to open many eyes to see him. But he also came to judge the earth. This Christmas as we get ready to launch on another new year in few weeks, it is good to remind ourselves of the second coming of Christ which will be more awesome and fearsome than the first. It is time that we prepare ourselves so that we will not be among the blind.

Prayer: Lord Jesus, open our eyes that we may see you and be counted among the righteous. Prepare our hearts and bless us so that we might continue to be witnesses for you. In Jesus name we pray, Amen.

Praise the Lord for this New Year. I pray God’s abundant blessings on you.

January 1-7, 2009 GOD TELLS YOU

But his mother told the servants “do whatever he tells you.” John 2:7

Let us take a new resolution for this year like Mary. Things pertaining to family, jobs, friends, church, ministry and anything in our lives – let us submit to God. We will do whatever God tells us to do. Let us begin the New Year with this perfect attitude of obedience.

Prayer: Dear God, help me to be obedient to your word to do whatever you want me to do. Amen

January 8-14, 2009 MIRACULOUS ESCAPE

The angel tapped him on the side to awaken him and said “quick, get up” and the chains fell off his wrists. Acts 12:7

We ought to be fast and quick when the Holy Spirit tells us to get up from sinful life. We have to be sensitive to God’s voice and obey instantly without any excuses. Let us leave and give up the sinful nature. At that moment we will be released from bondages and curses and it will release greater blessings upon our lives.

Prayer: Heavenly father, strengthen me by your might to miraculously escape from all bondages of sin. Amen

January 15-21, 2009 NOTHING SEPERATES

And I am convinced that nothing can separate us from His love. Romans 8:38

We all need to come to this point where we can say this boldly to ourselves. Sometimes we can be so saturated with worldly blessings that these things may threaten to take the place of God. But as much as none of these things will separate you from the love of God, we need to be alert so that these things do not become our first love instead of God.

Prayer: Father, help me stay faithful so that nothing will take your place in my heart and nothing will demand my love except you. Amen.

January 22-28, 2009 PEOPLE’ S PRAYER

As a result many will give thanks to God because so many people’s prayers for our safety have been answered. II Corinthians 1:11

Paul was thankful to people who were praying for his safety. In the same way, we come across people who pray for us. Are we thankful to our family, friends, pastors, congregation and many more who always pray for us?

Prayer: Lord, I thank you for all the people who pray for me continually. Amen.

January 29-February 4, 2009 DO NOT FOOL YOURSELVES

If you think you are too important to help someone in need, you are only fooling yourselves. You are really a nobody. Galatians 6:3

God has given us a heart to help others who are in need. Their need may be anything and help can be in any form – prayer, physical presence, financial help, encouragement or even guidance. When we are helping others, the far most important character is to humble ourselves and show God’s love. Let all the glory be to God alone.

Prayer: Savior, give me the power to humble myself so that I may help others.

February 5 – February 12 Rahab – ancestor of David and Jesus

Before the spies went to sleep that night, Rahab went up on the roof to talk to them. Joshua 2:8

Joshua was leading the Israelites. He had a spy mission sent to Jericho. God used Rahab the prostitute who does not know god but has heard about the supreme acts of god. She was ready to help god’s people in order to help god’s people. How do we help others? Are we helping out of necessity? Or are we helping out of love for Jesus? God is pleased when we give our best to others. When we offer ourselves fully for the sake of others, god honors us.

Prayer: Dear god, I want to give the best of me to others. Amen.

February 13 – February 20 Gomer – the unfaithful wife

But I will fence her in with thornbushes, I will block the road to make her lose her way. Hosea 2:6

Like Gomer, you and I are not always faithful to our lord. But Jesus is always faithful to us. Due to our sinful lives, our relationship with god is severed and our commitment fails. But here is our merciful god who does not want his children to lose eternal life. So god disciplines unfaithful people and makes them repent and turn towards god. God is faithful and is ready to forgive our sins.

Prayer: Father, please help us remain faithful to you. Amen.

February 21 – February 28 Enthusiasm

Work with enthusiasm as though you were working for the lord rather than for people. Ephesians 6:7

Work means doing something for family, friends, masters and even our jobs. It may be in any form such as cleaning, gardening, administering and so on. However, whatever work we do, whenever and for whomever, work is to be done with enthusiasm.

Prayer: Lord, help me to be mindful of the fact that I work for you rather than for people. Amen.

March 1 – March 7 Synagogue Leader

Leader was indignant that Jesus had healed her on Sabbath day. Luke 13:14

Have we ever felt indignant, jealous or angry when god has reached out to others? The flesh wants us to rebel even against good things that always come straight from god’s hand. But, we ought to remember that we are all gods’ children and whatever god does for one of us in his time is marvelous for he does everything perfectly.

Prayer: Lord Jesus, help me to appreciate and rejoice with others when you bless them. Amen.

March 8 - March 14

Fear

Fear not for I am with you, be not dismayed for I am your God. I will strengthen you, yes. I will uphold you with my righteous right hand. Isaiah 41:10

We fear about different things in our day to day life. Our fear may pertain to health, wealth, weather, job, relationships and so much more. As per scripture, we need to fear only God. Because, Jesus Christ is with us, He is our God, He strengthens us, helps us and upholds us with his righteous right hand.

Prayer: Lord, I believe you are greater than anything I fear. Give me strength to face the things of the world. Amen.

March 15 - March 21

Hope

I will hope continually, and will praise you yet more and more. Psalm 71:14

We should never waver or lose hope in God. Circumstances may shake our hope and strength in the Lord. Things may not go the way we expect. Still, we need to wait patiently in faith. As we continue to have faith in God and praise God more and more, God will be pleased with us. Naturally, we will be growing more in Christ.

Prayer: Lord, place hope in our hearts inorder to praise you forever. Amen.

March 22 - March 28

Strength

Our soul waits for the Lord; He is our help and shield. Psalm 33:20

Everyone of us loves to dwell in God's presence. We know pretty well that we cannot face anything without being with God. We feel exhausted in our daily work and routine life. What is the best way to lead healthy life? who can help us wholeheartedly? who can strengthen us without expecting anything from us? Psalmist says "He is our help and shield." Just wait at his feet to get the help you need.

Prayer: Thank you for strengthening me and helping me. Thank you for being my shield. Amen.

March 29 - April 4

Condemnation

The Lord redeems the soul of His servants, and none of these who trust in Him shall be condemned. Psalm 34:22

The Lord is our Great redeemer. He has redeemed us and restored us as whole and complete. We carry unwanted things like guilt, anger,  jealousy, envy and heavy burden. Right now, our Lord offers us the redemption from all these burdens. All that we have to do is - just trust him. Since we are redeemed, we are no more under condemnation. We are free from it.

Prayer: Thank you Lord for redeeming and delivering us from condemnation. Amen.

April 5-11

SUFFERING

“……no one said a word to Job, for they saw that his suffering was too great for words.”  Jobs 2:13

We are quick to complain, when we are faced with suffering in our lives. Therefore, it is important to remember when it hurts us and when it helps. Suffering helps us when: We turn to God for help and strength. We ask important questions we might not take time to think about normally. We let it get us ready to help others who suffer.  Suffering hurts us when: We become hardened and reject God. We refuse to ask any questions and miss some lessons  that might be good for us.

Prayer: Dear Lord, help me to face my suffering for your glory, so that your purpose in my life will be fulfilled. Amen.

April 12-18

RESPECT

“So God created human beings in His own image.” Genesis 1:27

Why should we treat people with respect if they don’t deserve it? The answer lies in the above verse. For the simple reason, that God gave us the courtesy of being created in His own image, we have to respect others.

Prayer: Dear Lord, Help me to respect others, as they have been created in your image and as your children, you expect us to do that. Amen.

April 19-25

FEAR OF DEATH

“For those who follow godly paths will rest in peace when they die.” Isaiah 57:2

No one looks forward to dying. Since we have never been through it before, it’s natural to feel afraid and to wonder if dying might hurt. But when our time comes, God doesn’t want us to be scared.  The first two verses in Isaiah 57 remind us that God is always in control and working out his purpose – even in death. Though it may seem hard to imagine, life with God will be much better than life right now!

Prayer: Dear Lord, help me to face any fear of death that I might have, and that I may be ready for whenever you may call me. Amen.

April 26-May 2

FITTING IN

“….they refuse to serve your gods and do not worship the gold statue you have set up.”  Daniel 3:12

A chameleon is a little lizard that changes its color to match its background. But blending in is not always the best choice. Some people act one way when they are at church or home, but when they are with their friends, they act totally different to blend in. Daniel’s three friends had an easy opportunity to be chameleons. They were ordered to bow down to the king’s gold statue or die. They didn’t do it, though. Instead, they did what was risky but right – and God protected them for it. The next time you are tempted to just blend in, choose instead to stand out for God.

Prayer Dear Lord, Help me to realize that standing out for you is more important than fitting in for others. Amen.

May 3 – May 9, 2009

BORN AGAIN

Jesus answered... “no one can see the kingdom of God unless you are born again.” John 3:3

To be born again means to have a new birth. By nature, we are children of the world born with sin and corruption which leads to death. But by being born again, we become children of God and then we can see the kingdom of God.

Prayer: Lord, let me be born again in spirit in order to see the kingdom of God. Amen

May 10 – May 16, 2009

PRIZE

Do you not know that in a race all the runners run but only one gets the prize? I Corinthians 9: 24

Just as in a worldly race, where many participate but only one wins the prize, similarly in the spiritual race, only those who have their eyes fixed on Jesus will win the prize. Many will be called and will run the race but only few are chosen and will win the prize.

Prayer: Lord, help me to run the good race to obtain the prize. Amen

May 17 – May 23, 2009

SALVATION

There is no other name given to men under heaven by which we must be saved. Acts 4: 12

The name of Jesus alone can offer salvation and not any human work. It is important to remember that whenever we share our testimonies the anecdote of our experiences should be short but the goodness of Jesus should be expounded more. Bring out God's plan of salvation in our lives and invite others to accept Christ.

Prayer: Jesus, enable me to declare that you alone can give us salvation. Amen

May 24 – May 30, 2009

SEPARATION

Separated to the Gospel of God. Roman 1: 1

We are set apart for God. This means that we are separated from one thing because we belong to something else all together different. We do not belong to sinful life which leads to death but instead we have been called and set apart for the Gospel of God which preaches the good news of calvary's love that shows us the way to eternal life.

Prayer: Lord, set me apart for your gospel and may I come closer to you. Amen.

May 31 – June 6, 2009

PLOT

When morning came, all the chief priests and elders of the people plotted against Jesus to put him to death. Matthew 27:1

Whether we plot against someone or someone else plots against us, either way plotting is sin. Both lead to deadly results. As truly born again Christian believers, we are called to bring people out of death. Let us take a stand not to plot against anyone. And instead rescue other from death.

Prayer: Oh, God, let me understand the consequences of plotting and get away from it. Amen.

June 7 – June 13, 2009

GOOD SHEPHERD

I am the good shepherd. The good shepherd gives his life for the sheep. John 10:11

Jesus Christ is the good shepherd. He gave his life for the whole world and everything in it. We are blessed to know this god shepherd, who not only gives food, clothes and shelter but also his life to all.

Prayer: Thank you Lord Jesus for being the good shepherd for all of us. Amen.

June 14 – June 20, 2009

I DO NOT KNOW

Then they said to him, “where is he?” He said, “I do not know.” John 9:12

Are we like the blind man who did not know Jesus even though he got his vision because of the Lord? God has opened our eyes through the blood of His son Jesus. If we invite the Lord Jesus into our hearts and have a personal relationship with him, then we are no longer blind. We know who Jesus is and it is now our turn to introduce Jesus to others.

Prayer: Lord Jesus, abide in our hearts and may we know you always. Amen.

June 21 – June 27, 2009

IMMEDIATELY

and immediately they left the boat and their father, and followed him. Matthew 4:22

Whatever God commissions us to do, whether it is to leave behind our familiar surroundings for ministry, or to pray for others, help someone, or even teach and share the gospel...the point is to act immediately without delay.

Prayer: Lord, help us to act immediately when we are commissioned by you. Amen.

 June 28th --4th July.

STOP CHASING THE WIND

Enjoy what you have rather than desiring what you don't have.Ecclesiastes.6:9

A very common weakness of all human beings is desiring to have new and more of anything. We as God's children, believers should overcome this thirst for worldly material things by the supernatural power of our heavenly father. This kind of resire is compareed to chasing the wind, that means never ending desire. Instead, we ought to desire to have more of new and more spiritual blessings.

Prayer:- Father, give me more desire to have spiritual blessings. Amen.

July 5 -- July11

UNFAILING LOVE

And I said------keep your covenant and mercy with those wholove youand observe your commandments. Nehemiah 1:5

We can start to taste God's unfailing love, only when we truly love God and obey His commands. God's love is very powerful. It helps to accomplish works for God's glory.

God's love revives, restores sinners from darkness to heavenly light. With the power of God's love we experiences God's presence among God's people.

Prayer:- Oh God, I want to love and obey your commands. Amen.

TOO  MANY TROUBLES

Many are the troubles of the righteous, But the Lord delivers him out of them all. Psalm 34:19.

One of my friends said "since my problems are never ending I am not going to pray or read Bible anymore". God always rescues  us from each trouble, said another friend. The truth is we come very closer to God when we face many problems and troubles.Jesus is our source of power, courage and wisdom. Every one of us need God's hedge of protection

to face this troublesome world.

Prayer:- Thank you Father that I understand the troubles bring me closer to you. Amen.

BITTER CRY

 ---------Hezekiah wept bitterly. Isaiah 38:3.

brings changes and success in our lives. Tears touches God's heart, melts His anger

and blessings followed.

                     WORK

Amos 8:7. The Lord has sworn by the pride of Jacob: "surely I will never forget any of their works"

Works mean any kind of deeds.God is reminding a simple  and old theory

again today. Our Savior looks at our deeds in two forms. One is good and the other one is evil.Remember, God is not going to forget either of them. As a result, those who work for good will be blessed and the evil doers will be punished.

Prayer:- Lord, help me to seek good and love good.Amen.

August 2nd---8th

                       HARLOTRY

HOSEA  4:19. The wind has wrapped her up in its wings, And they shall be ashamed because of their sacrifices

Specifically, talks about idoltry----the idol worship. It could be spiritual or physical. It is

as dangerous as any other sin.Idolatry brings God's wrath and punishment without fail.

Bible explains that idol worshipers will be covered by their enemy instantly and powerfully. like Tsunami or storm----------that brings shame for their act.

Prayer:-- Father, keep me aware of idoltry. Amen.

August 9th ----15th

                                GOSPEL

MARK 1:15 "The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand. Repent, and believein the gospel ."

Gospel is about God and God's kingdom.Jesus when first started the ministry, he preached about repent for sin andbelieve in the gospel. Let us follow Jesus's style.

Meaning, stop telling our own story, start preaching about repentance for sin and kingdom of God.

Prayer:-- Lord, empower me to go forth to talk about you alone.Amen.

That life is not corrupted,is pure and does not come to an end.Everlasting inheritance is reserved in heaven for you and me.

August 30th -- September 5th.

                         EVERYONE

Psalm 145:7 Everyone share the story of your wonderful goodness; they will sing with joy of your righteousness.

The great Psalmist tells everyone to share the story of God's goodness. The Psalmist is very strongly insisting about it to you and me. we need to praise and testify God for not only what he does in our lives but about Salvation, Creation and forgiveness which are wonderful.

we see Psalmist is praising God and encouraging others to praise God.

Prayer: Let me praise you and encourage others to praise you.

   September 6th ---12th.

                                  KING OF KINGS.

Psalm 22:28.      For the Lord is King! He rules all the nations.

Our Lord is King! The everlasting King! The great King for everyone!

The Lord of Lords! The God of Gods! The King of this earth! The Ruler of the whole Universe!

The powerful mighty King! The Heaven is His throne and the earth is His foot stool!  we are Prince and Princess.

Our King of Judah  is the Lion of Judah. He is the Lamb and Lamp for our path.

Prayer: Oh! King! all praises , power, honor, glory and blessings to you alone! Amen.

    Septemeber 13th ---19th.

                                           IMPOSSIBLE.

Luke 1:37. For nothing is impossible with God!

In the ministry field, at times i got fed up sharing Gospel to some people, because i felt they are hard hearted, not ready to repent and accept Jesus.

But in the long run i have seen them as believers. It is amazing!

Have you felt the same anytime about anyone? The Scripture says "nothing is impossible with God". Therefore encourage yourself. don't give up. Pursue them. Start harvesting souls for Jesus.

Prayer: Thank you Father, that everything is possible with you. Amen.

  Septemeber 20th ---26th.

                                                  LOADS

Psalm 145:4  The Lord helps the fallen and lifts up those bent beneath thier loads.

What kind of loads you have? Is it sin, debt, sickness, scarcity ,poverty, lack of love or       unspoken problem?

No matter what it is and how big your load is, it is easy for our Lord to deal with? Only one thing to be done is to call upon the name of the Lord. He is righteous, kind, merciful and compassionate to lift us up from our bent and unload.

Prayer: Thank you Lord for your everlasting love and help in need. Amen.

27th September -3rd October.

Misunderstood

Ps:84:11: The Lord will give grace and glory : no good thing will He withold from those who walk uprightly.

God gives Grace and Glory.

We misunderstand God's grace and misuse it. His grace is an undeserved kindness which forgives sins, accepts broken hearted, gives hope to hopeless and saves the lost. But it is not a spirtual life insurance for those who do wrong with the plan of asking forgiveness after that.

Prayer: Let me use your grace in a right way for your glory alone! Amen.

4th October--10th Oct

Be Serious !

2 Chron 34:19.

when the King heard that was written in the Law, he tore his clothes in despair.

It is our nature or weekness to commit sins and disregard it . Again we do the same without realising the consequence of sins we find easy excuses, blame somebody, try to convince others and us saying it is not harmful.

Today let us learn from Josiah to respond with sadness and turn away from sin.

Prayer: Oh, Lord, I want to be serious about sin and turn to you. Amen.

October 11-17

                                            LIGHT

Is 2:5 O, house of Jacob, “come and let us walk in the light of the  Lord”.

By birth, everyone is in darkness or sinful life. As we grow and gain knowledge, we understand how we lead life. Lord is calling us today. Walking in the light, living in the light and in the real light is important.

Prayer: Lord, Help us to walk in the light which leads to eternity.

October 18-24

                                                REDEEM

Nehemiah: 1:10. Now these are your servants and your people, whom you have redeemed by your great power and by your strong hand.

Almighty God is our powerful redeemer. His strong hand and power does amazing work. This power delivers from our sin, releases from bondage, heals from sickness and leads to eternal life.

Prayer: Lord, I need your power for healthy Spiritual life.

October 25-31

                                          LAW

Ps 11:55. I remember your name in the night o Lord, and I keep your law.

King David is not a common man. He remembered God’s mighty works in his life. Day or night, our mind should be with Lord. Thinking of God and His law in the night, while the world is sleeping, Holy Spirit starts revealing His plan in the form of vision. When morning comes, Holy Spirit helps to keep His law.

Prayer: I want to ponder you in my bed every day. Amen.

November 1--7

HE IS A REFORMER

II Timothy 2:21 Those who cleanse themselves from the latter (disposal of refuse) will be instruments of purpose, made holy, useful to the master and prepared to do any good work.

Are you a marred pot? (the only honest answer is yes) Take heart! The potter can take the flawed clay of your life and create something brand new. But he shaped it as seems best to him. So you must be willing, moldable, teachable and responsive so that the reformer can re-form your life.

November 8-14

HE IS PLEASED

Ezekiel 18:31-32 Rid yourselves of all the offenses you have committed and get a new heart and a new spirit...for I take no pleasure in the death of anyone. Repent and live.

God is not begrudging. He doesn't overcomplicate salvation in the hopes of disqualifying some. He doesn't enjoy anyone's death. Rather He is pleased – thrilled, delighted and satisfied – when you come to him and live. Imagine the God of the universe pleased with you.

November 15- 21

HE IS STANDING NEAR

Acts 23:11 The following night, the Lord stood near paul and said “take courage. As you have testified about me in Jerusalem, so you must also testify in Rome.

Paul was in a precarious situation. Though the circumstances were dangerous, the Lord stood near Paul, encouraging him.when you feel imprisoned by a relationship or persecuted for your faith, remember God's purpose in allowing the strain – so that you will testify about Jesus. Take courage, he is standing near to give you strength.

November 22- 28

HE IS JUST

II Thessalonians 1:6-7 God is Just; He will pay back trouble to those who trouble you. And give relief to you who are troubled.

Believers in Thessalonica were facing unfair persecution. When you suffer unfairly, remember that it doesn't mean that God is unhappy with you. On the contrary, he is developing perseverance and faith in you. Because God is perfectly just, you can let go of those injustices and wait for your just judge to make things right

Romans 12:2 Do not be confirmed to this world, but let God transform you in to a new person by changing the way you think. Then you will know how good and pleasing and perfect His will really is.

We can have a new mind by not confirming ourselves to this world which is fashioned after and adapted to its external, superficial customs.

But we can transform our mind anew by accepting and doing what is the good, acceptable and perfect will of God in His sight.

Prayer:- Our precious father, grant me new mind to follow you. Amen.

March 1st ---7th

Recognize:

I King 18:7. Now as Obadiah was on his way, he saw Elijah coming toward him. Obadiah recognized him at once and fell to the ground before him.

In this modern world, like Obadiah we too meet various kinds of Pastors, Evangelists and servants of God. Obadiah is a God fearing man and believer. As a believer he would have recognized Elijah-the Man of God very easily.

Today, not only we learn to recognize and respect God’s people but we teach and encourage non believers the importance of God’s people and how to honor them.

Prayer: Father God, help me and my non believers (friends) to recognize and respect your servants. Amen.

March 8th ---14th

Rest:

Exodus: 31:15. ----Work six days only, but the seventh day must be a day of total rest.

“Sabbath” means, time to sit at God’s feet to remember what God had done. We all need break after hectic week with work load, the family issues and personal acts. Firstly, we need physical rest and mental rest.

Secondly, we need to spend time with God’s people, to thank God for the past and receive more strength to face the oncoming days.

Prayer: Thank you father for the Sabbath day. Amen.

March 15th------ 21st

Rich

Romans 9: 23: - He also has the right to pour out the riches of His glory upon those He prepared to be the objects of His Mercy.

Our heavenly King is the richest in heaven and earth. He created us to bring glory to His name. God is rich in health, wealth, knowledge and wisdom. It means we are also rich. The question is whether we acquire the richness from God. The uttermost important richness is ‘bringing glory’ to God.

Prayer: Lord! Make me rich in knowledge, wisdom and bringing glory to you. Amen.

March 22nd 31st.

Right

John 1: 12:- But to all who believed Him and accepted Him, He gave the right to become the children of God.

We believe and accept Jesus Christ as a Savior. Having said that we are inherited in Jesus family as His Children. That is the right we received from God. As a child we need to follow the rules in God’s family, that is BIBLE.

Prayer: Thank you Lord for inheriting me as a child in your family. Amen.

April 1st to April 8th.

HEARTILY

Colossians.3:23.And whatever you do, do it heartily, as to the Lord and not to men.

Whatever includes household works, office works, social works spiritual works and gardening. Bible says we will receive inheritance from our Lord as a reward. It is for the Lord Christ we are serving, not for men. God will go before us if our motives are pure and uplifting. God will help us, so His light can shine through us.

Prayer :- Oh, Lord, let this verse be audible to me always. Amen.

April 9th to 15th.

DENY

II Timothy 3:5. Having a form of Godliness but denying its power and from such people turn away.

Amazing to read this verse. It is crystal clear. By God given discernment spirit only we can sense this. There are moments, we wonder, how come Godly people are not accepting His power. Here you go, God wants us to keep distance from such individual, turn away or keep them away.

Prayer :- Father, help us to do the above boldly.

April 16th to 22nd.

FRIEND

Proverb.17:17. A friend loves at all times. But a brother is born for adversity.

Who can love us so dearly at all times? Only one person that is Jesus Christ who can love us all times. That is healthy friendship too. The question is what is our commitment towards the real friend Jesus Christ. The answer is just continue to love Jesus because He first loved us, just continue to love Jesus in spite of  our struggles just continue to love on mountains of problems, just continue to love Jesus in the valley of death, just continue to love Jesus when everything fails or no strength to face the world.

Prayer:  Dear Father, I need to love you forever with your help. Amen.

April 23rd to 30th.

HANDMADE

Isaiah 66:2.   Has not my hand made all these things, --------

You and I are hand made of Jesus. This whole world is created by Jesus. Christ continues to work and paid for our sins and bought us by His precious blood. Through Jesus we are adopted in His family and calling His father as our Father.

Jesus continues to work for us by sending the comforter –Holy Spirit for us to have constant presence. Jesus continues to work for us—non stop. Even at this very present moment, sitting at the right hand of our father and interceding for us.

Prayer: Prayer: Oh! Glorious Lord, how can I repay your love? I just feel humbly on my knees to praise and worship my love of Jesus. Amen.

Women

May 1st –May 7th.

Titus 2:3

The older women…teachers of good things.

Paul talks about the qualities of a ‘healthy church’. Paul uses the word “Woman” as an example in the Church. From another aspect, older woman means, matured or grown up Christians. Specially, women who are strong in faith, sound in love and patience should be the best model to the young Christians in the church.

Prayer: Oh, glorious Father, I want to be a model Christian to growing Christians. Amen.

YOUR PART

MAY 8th –May 15th.

Judges. 2:2 For your part   ----disobeyed my command?

God’s part is making covenant with us, merciful to us, graceful to us pouring blessing on us etc. God’s part is never ending in each of our lives. What is our part with God?

If we don’t keep up our part to God or when we fail in our part, God might fail to fulfill his promise with us.

Prayer :- Oh Lord, before I claim your promise, I want to analyze “Have I done my part?”

GENERATION

MAY 16TH –May 23rd

Judges. 2: 10 After that generation died -----done for Israel.

Every generation has the responsibility to teach Christian faith to next generation. Our responsibility is to teach children to love God and follow Him. This task primarily belongs to family. Faith is at the very center of God’s law. Faith must be a family matter.

Prayer:- God, guide me to pass on my Christian faith to next generation. Amen

VICTORY

May 24th ---May 30th.

Judges 5: 1 On that day Deborah and Barak sang this song.

Music and singing were part of Israelite’s celebration or festival. In Victory

Barak and Deborah sang praises to God. This praise is focused on God on spiritual celebration and of God’s faithfulness.

Same way when we experiences failure or victory, if we sing praises to God, that can have positive effect on our attitude.

Prayer ;-  Savior, let me praise you in victory and failure. Amen.

Father’s kingdoM

May 31st  -- June 6th

But I say to you, I will not drink of this fruit……… until that day when I drink it new with you in my father’s kingdom (matthew 26:29)

We all believe certainly that we are going to live eternally with our everlasting Father. We believe that we are going to live with Him in his everlasting, beautiful kingdom; but do we have the qualifications to enter our Father’s kingdom? We need to get ready in this earthly life to enter the heavenly kingdom.

Prayer: Lord, help me to get ready to enter the heavenly kingdom. Amen

Father of fatherless

June 7th –June 13th

A father of the fatherless, a defender of widows, is God in His holy habitation (Ps 68:5)

We are formed in the womb because of the seed of man, known as our father. Some do not know their fathers, from birth. Some have lost their fathers through natural death or separation of parents. Some lose their fathers to old age, after they have received all blessings from him. In any case, our spiritual father, the eternal father, our creator, everlasting father, merciful father is the father of all fatherless.

Prayer: Father, you are the real father to create, to love, to provide and to guide me to eternal life. Amen

Everlasting father

June 14th – June 20th

For unto us a Child is born…and His name will be called Wonderful Counselor, mighty God, everlasting father…..(Is 9:6)

A worldly father may leave children or die. But our god is our everlasting father. He was our father, is our father, and is to be our father even after death in eternal life. We all have the privilege of being children of our great, awesome everlasting father. Am I going to be his everlasting child?

Prayer: thank you, dear father, for your everlasting grace. Amen

Father of lights

June 21st  --June 27th

Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and comes down from the Father of lights, with whom there is no variation or shadow of turning (James 1:17)

Our everlasting father is father of light too. With his light all our sins are clearly seen. Father came to save us from all sins. He is not only savior; we can love him boldly and whole heartedly. Since he is an unchanging God, he is reliable. Thus the gifts what we get from him are perfect, good and beautiful.

Prayer: thank you, father for all your good and perfect gifts. Amen.

Humility:

June 27th to July 3rd.

Humble in the sight of the Lord, and He shall lift you up. James 4:10

Human beings need to have Christ like humility. Humbleness is a royal spirit given by the King of heaven to display us as servants of grace. The more we humble ourselves, the more God exalts us in our lives.

Prayer: Oh Lord, help me to be humble before you and men.

Healing:

July 4th to July 10th

But for you who revere my name the sun of righteousness will rise with healing in His wings Malachi 4:2.

The life lived in the fear of the Lord is blessed. The sun of righteousness with radiant beams of sunlight will touch us. The sun of righteousness is our Savior. From each beam, glorious healing flows. That heals the wound, cures our sickness, repairs the broken heart and delivers us from curse.

Prayer: Lord, let the healing light of your sun touch me and heal me. Amen.

Wait quietly:

July 11th to July 17th .

It is good that one should hope and wait quietly for the salvation of the Lord. Lamentations: 3:26

Salvation means to be saved from sin, sickness, sorrows, and sufferings. When will this happen? The answer is when we wait quietly, with hope, on God. When do you start waiting? We need to present our situation to God gently, patiently, thoughtfully and specifically in prayer.

Prayer: Lord Jesus, help me wait on you quietly for your salvation.

The Right Path:

July 18th to July 24th

Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path. Psalm 119:105

A Path compresses each step in the journey of our lives. God’s word is the perfect guide in the journey- both spiritual and spiritual. In our practical circumstances, God’s word will assist us. God’s word is the light which reveals and prepares us for the thorns and stones on our way. God’s word prevents us from falling, stumbling or failing. God’s word is what helps us live a fruitful life.

Prayer: Oh King of heaven, let thy word assist me to bear fruit in my life. Amen.

Ancient:

July 25th to July 31st.

I understand more than ancients, because I keep your precepts. Ps 119:100.

There are many mature counselors and experienced elders who know and understand the scriptures beyond anyone else. They are the ancients. However, when we obey God’s commands and walk according to His will as we keep his precepts, the Holy Spirit will open our mind to understand more than the ancients.

Prayer: Lord Jesus, empower me to keep your precepts so that I may understand you even more than the ancients. Amen.
